As afraid as we are of the dark, why do we hide in it? We think that we can weep at night and no one will know. That’s just not the case. I remember plenty of nights after my now ex husband left that I would cry myself to sleep. I tried to keep the kids from hearing me, but I’m sure they did.

One of the really awesome things about God is that when He makes promises He keeps them. He isn’t like humans who lie, cheat and steal.
(Can I get an amen and thanks be to God for that fact?)

I am reading through the Psalms and today in Psalm 30, something jumped out at me.

4. Sing to the LORD, you saints of His praise His holy name. 5. For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

God’s favor of us doesn’t change. It is not based on our performance. I used to think that. I was always striving for His approval. When I worked a church before, I was even silly enough to think that He loved me a little extra because I worked at a church.

The night time, when it’s quiet and all you are left with are your thoughts can be a rough time if you aren’t careful. God does not want us sitting up all night worrying about our lives. He has us in the palm of His hand. He knows what we are doing, thinking, and feeling. And the best part of it all.. HE HAS A PLAN!

God is God. His plan can be changed by us a little, only because we have free will. But if we yield to Him and His plan, our life will turn out like He wants it to. He doesn’t want to hurt us.

Sing to the Lord no matter what your circumstances are at the moment. It is not going to stay this way forever!

You are the child of the Most High King. His favor lasts a lifetime. Joy comes in the morning!

I decided to coin a new phrase yesterday…. which goes along with my hash tag I made up.

Good magical morning!

I’m not talking about the witches and wizards kind of magic… but the whole fact that rejoicing comes in the morning!

I took this picture yesterday morning…. Good magical morning to you! And always stop and look at the clouds!
