1 John 1: 5-7, “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

For those of us who are praying for our nation, this One Cry conference I am attending at my work has a solution.

Their book says, “I must turn from my sin before I can ask my nation to turn from hers.”

Ryan Loveing talked about pace setters in a race. I am NOT a runner. I have just begun jogging in intervals while walking and that’s killing me. LOL But at marathons and such, they have people who set the pace for others. They are there for guidance and to help people stay on course.

Walk This WayAs Christians, we are called to do the same.

Walking in the Light means that we confess our sins and turn from them. Sometimes, it’s a daily thing. God knows we will sin. He loves us anyway.

What this world needs is for us to live by the Holy Spirit. That’s what God has called us to do.

Ephesians 5:18-20 says, “18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

God has a purpose and a plan for each of our lives. Are we really living for Him? Are you doing what He’s called us to do?

Living by the Holy Spirit is just that. We know that if you are drunk on alcohol, you tend to do and say things you wouldn’t normally do. So, if we are full of and living by the Holy Spirit, we are probably going to do and say things we wouldn’t normally, but they will be from God. It’s a better way to be.

We need to walk in the Light, and power of the Holy Spirit. Allowing Him access to every single place in our hearts. His ways are better than our ways.

Are you walking with Him? I hope so. If not, why not?

God bless you today and always.
