Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!” Genesis 15:5

Last Sunday we had a guest speaker at church named Daniel Gray. He has been the Chaplain for the Atlanta Falcons. You can find his You Tube Channel here: Daniel Gray

He called himself a “holla back” preacha, and indeed he was! He had a whole different message planned, but since we experience the hurricane, he felt like God wanted him to speak on something different.

I’m glad he did. We needed it! We needed his energy and words to lift us up.

In Genesis, Chapter 15, Abram was spoken to by God in a vision. Abram had been waiting 10 years for God to bless him with a child. (10 YEARS!!!)

When we have problems, sometimes, we tend to focus on the problems.

In this Scripture, God took Abram OUTSIDE of his tent aka his problem and told him to “Look up!”

If we stop focusing on the problems, and focus on the problem solver, things would be different for us.

Ephesians 3:20 reminds us, 20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

God who is ABLE.. first of all…

Second of all… to do MORE than we can ask or think.

God is a God of MORE… and He is amazing!

We are His most prized possessions.

I know, I know… you are wondering.. “Where was God during this hurricane? Why didn’t He stop it?”

God was right there, holding all of us in the palm of His hand.

As for why He didn’t stop it… or why some power came back on faster than others, or why trees fell on some houses and not others… I don’t know.

I just really don’t know.

What I do know is that God is going to turn this around for our good. Because that’s what He does!

He doesn’t cause the problems, He solves them.

So… it’s ok to say “I can’t take it!” Now, you are ready to give to God and let Him take it.

God bless you today and always!
