Have you ever wondered what God loves the most? Or what He considers His most prized possession?

We know that His Word says He doesn’t show favoritism, and that’s a good thing. But what does He favor?

18 He chose to give birth to us by giving us His true word. And we, out of all creation, became His prized possession. James 1:18

I don’t know about you, but that makes me feel really special.

Of all the things God created, every planet, plant, animal, bug, bird, fruit, tree, stars, the moon, the sun, and a million other things He created.. He says we are His prized possession.

God loves us, but He’s a gentlemen, and He does not force Himself on us.

I wish everyone could fully grasp just how much God loves them. I think it would change the world.

People have the wrong idea of God.

One of my favorite Scriptures is one where God says who we are to Him, Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

If we are God’s masterpieces and His prized possessions, why do we think otherwise?

They think He hates us because of all the bad stuff that happens in the world. That’s simply not true.

As we’ve seen in my previous posts, God is not causing the bad stuff to happen. We live in a fallen sinful world with evil principalities.

Paul told us in Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

When hard times come, or bad thoughts about yourself ring in your ears, take charge and say, “No! I am God’s prized possession and masterpiece. He has a good plan for my life.”

God bless you today and always!
